Set up SourceHawk
Five minutes from checkout to first scan.
Install
Two ways in. The Chrome Web Store is one click and keeps itself updated; the zip download is the manual fallback.
Path A: Chrome Web Store (recommended)
Open the Chrome page for the product you bought and click Add to Chrome. That is the whole install.
Bought the Bundle? Install both, then activate the same key in each.
Once it is in your toolbar, jump to Activate: open the extension and paste the license key from your purchase email.
Path B: Manual install (zip)
For when you prefer installing from the download in your purchase email, or the store is unavailable.

Unzip the download
Your purchase email links to a zip. Unzip it and put the folder somewhere permanent. Chrome runs the extension from that folder, so it has to stay put.

Open the extensions page
Type chrome://extensions straight into Chrome's address bar and hit Enter.

Turn on Developer mode
It is the toggle in the top right corner of that page: Developer mode

Load the folder
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder. Pick the folder itself, not the zip. SourceHawk appears in your toolbar.
Activate

Open the extension
Click its icon in the Chrome toolbar. If you don't see it, click the puzzle piece and pin it.

Paste your license key
The key is in your purchase email. Paste it into the key field and activate. You are in.
Keys work on up to 2 devices. Moving to a new machine? Free a slot in your customer portal first, then activate there.
Connect your sheet
Optional, but recommended: connect Google once and everything you find lands in your own spreadsheet.

Sign in with Google
Hit Sign in with Google inside the app and approve.

Pick or create a sheet
Choose a spreadsheet you already have, or let SourceHawk create a fresh one.

Done
From now on, exports and live sync go straight into that sheet.
SourceHawk can only see the sheet you choose.
First scan
Open a SellerAmp storefront or search page. The panel sits on the page; hit Scan eligibility and every product gets its verdict.
Open the Expert window, paste a few seed ASINs (a seller ID or a keyword works too), and hit Start crawl. Then go do something else.
Updating SourceHawk
Installed from the Chrome Web Store (Path A)? You are done: Chrome updates it on its own, and this whole section is not for you.
Manual zip installs (Path B) update by hand. The download link in your purchase email always serves the latest version, so updating is the install again, minus the setup:

Re-download
Open the purchase link from your email and download the zip again.

Replace the folder
Unzip and replace your old extension folder with the new one.

Refresh
On chrome://extensions, click the refresh icon on the SourceHawk card. That's it.
Your settings, license, and Google connection all survive the update. They live in Chrome's storage, not in the folder, so there is nothing to set up again.
Manual installs also show a one line "update available" notice inside the app when a new version is out, so you never have to guess.
Troubleshooting
Chrome says the extension can't be added
Chrome was pointed at the zip. It can't install from a zip: unzip first, then Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder, not the zip file.
My key says activation limit reached
The key is already active on 2 devices. Free a slot in your customer portal, then activate again here.
Seller Central shows signed out
Log in at sellercentral.amazon.com in another tab, then re-check logins in the app. Eligibility runs through your own account, so that login needs to be alive.
Updates
Store installs update on their own. Manual zip installs: re-download from your purchase link, replace the folder, and hit refresh in chrome://extensions. Full steps in Updating SourceHawk above. Your settings and license survive.
